Our newest Highlands County park – Memorial Trailhead Park!
Park will be at the southeast corner of South Memorial Drive and Panther Parkway in AVON PARK!!!!
What will it have?
• Playground
• Covered picnic pavilion
• Green space
• Multi-use path that connects to current path on Panther Parkway
• Parking
All but the parking lot and the multi-use path will be fenced, and bathrooms are going to be built at a future date!
Highlands County Parks & Facilities and Road & Bridge employees began working in this area in early February and expect it to be open to the public by April 30, 2025.
We are excited about this new park and hope it will be a popular family-friendly destination for residents in the north end of Highlands County!
Memorial Trailhead Park is at 37501 Panther Parkway, Avon Park.
